All aboard for Chef on Board! Trade a busy and stuffy restaurant for the fresh, sea salt breezes of the Northumberland Strait and a gorgeous sunset stretching over the horizon. Join us onboard Northumberland Ferries' mv Confederation on September 28 at 5:30PM as we once again host one of the most recognized culinary events of the Fall Flavours Festival – Chef on Board. This year, we welcome Chef Corbin Tomaszeski, ready to prepare incredible meals filled with the flavours that have put PEI on the map – on the culinary map, no doubt!
Itinerary for Evening:
5:30 pm - Guests will be escorted by NFL and Points East Coastal Drive ambassadors to D Deck where they will partake in the offerings of PEI Brewing Company and artisan wines while tasting the bounty of Points East Coastal Drive and enjoying musical entertainment.
6:00 pm - MV Confederation sets out on a cruise upon the Northumberland Strait where guests will take in the sights and sounds of a sunset cruise.
7:00 pm - Honored guests will be escorted to main deck for a fantastic sit down dinner specially prepared by our Chefs and entertained by Canada's Celtic ambassadors, the Barra MacNeils.
Raised on a farm in a rural community outside of Edmonton, Corbin Tomaszeski was born to create and to cook. As a young boy, he watched attentively while his Mother created wonderful meals for his family of six kids. Since then, his ways around the kitchen have grown to helping everybody from those who wish to cook with him to restaurateurs wanting to improve their menus. Catch Chef Corbin in action on popular culinary shows "Dinner Party Wars", "Restaurant Makeover" and "Crash My Kitchen" featured on Food Network and HGTV Canada.
The Barra MacNeils are widely regarded as one of the greatest live concert acts in the Celtic world. Hailing from Sydney Mines, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, the six MacNeil siblings are deeply rooted in Celtic music, culture, dance, language and history. Their numerous critically acclaimed recordings have included their own original songs as well as tried and true standards, both instrumental and vocal.
