The way Atlantic Canada was meant to be explored—by sea.

Let our ferries, the mv Confederation and the mv Holiday Island take you on a journey across the Northumberland Strait. This 75 minute route runs between Wood Islands, PEI and Caribou, Nova Scotia outside of Pictou. Summertime crossings feature onboard entertainment during peak hours, and an outdoor seating area allows passengers to enjoy the fresh sea air during the crossing. Book the ferry ahead of time for any of the 9 departure times (each side) and save up to 100km in driving on your way from Charlottetown to Halifax, or up to 300km from Charlottetown to any eastern Nova Scotian destination.

Please Note – One way and return reservations are available departing from Wood Islands. Return reservations only departing from Caribou, one way reservations from Caribou are not available. Payment is only required when you leave Prince Edward Island via the ferry or the Confederation Bridge.
