The Unforgettable Ocean Road Trip with Irving Oil

Halifax, Nova Scotia – July 23, 2020 – Bay Ferries Limited, Northumberland Ferries Limited, and Irving Oil today announced their joint Unforgettable Ocean Road Trip campaign, designed to promote tourism within Atlantic Canada and drive revenue for Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island tourism businesses.

The Unforgettable Ocean Road Trip includes a complimentary $25 Irving Oil Gift Card with a booking for round-trip passage with a vehicle on the Fundy Rose (Saint John, NB-Digby, NS) or a coupon to save 5 cents per litre on Irving Oil fuel with a booking for return passage on the Northumberland Ferries Limited vessels that travel between Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. In addition, passengers who book their ferry passage online can save an additional 15% on all online orders at select Irving Big Stop locations – a great value for a road trip picnic.

The campaign will run from July 21 to September 30, allowing travellers to enjoy passage between New Brunswick and Nova Scotia and between Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island via ferry and fuel up at Irving Oil stations to continue their road trips by land.

Designed in collaboration with Halifax digital agency VERB Interactive, the program includes strategic digital advertising, a custom website experience (, online road trip itineraries, and contesting that will see two round-trip ferry fares given away for every week of the campaign. Dynamic social media support will ensure Atlantic Canadians can easily share their vacation photos via platforms such as Instagram and Twitter and inspire others to explore the region.
