July 29, 2025 - Update to Fares

The Government of Canada is making ferry travel in the Maritimes more affordable.
Effective August 1, 2025, this initiative will reduce fares by 50% on Bay Ferries and Northumberland Ferries services between Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. This discount applies to vehicle, passenger, foot passenger, commercial fares and fuel surcharges. Customers with existing reservations for travel on or after August 1 will automatically receive a refund by August 31. View revised fares below. You can view the previous fares here.

Travel for no fee from Nova Scotia to PEI on standby. Boarding is subject to availability based on vehicle type or height, not necessarily “first-come, first-served”. For guaranteed boarding, make a reservation by booking a Round-Trip or a Flexible One-Way Fare.
