Farewell Winter! Sailing Through The 2023 Snowy Season
Winter is always a magical experience throughout the Maritimes — a time when we get out and explore the wonders of nature enhanced by pure white snow. No matter where the winter brought you last season, we’re thankful that you decided to share your experiences with us. As we set sail into the warmer months, we’re taking a few minutes to reflect back on a fantastic winter season. So sit back, enjoy, and join us as we look back at our favourite winter Maritime adventures.
If there is one thing we love to boast about, it is the fantastic views aboard MV Fundy Rose between Saint John, New Brunswick and Digby, Nova Scotia. It is certainly hard to resist taking out your camera to capture the beauty of the vast blue ocean on a beautiful winter day.
@KaylaLondon showed us that no matter the season or the temperature outside, views from the deck are always a delightful sight and must be experienced.
Beyond the Bay of Fundy (and MV Fundy Rose), there are endless spots to capture some of the water views that make the Maritimes such a special place in the winter. @daniel.robinson took a beautiful photo of the iconic Peggy’s Cove lighthouse with the chilly Atlantic Ocean in the background.
For those willing to brave the chilly weather of a Maritime winter, our natural wonders are the perfect place to stretch your legs after a long winter or journey on the ferry. @jesspaacito and her partner did just that, spending an afternoon exploring the St. Martins Sea Caves.
The journey may not be an easy one, but the views at the end are always rewarding. @xxrileywetmorexx gives a glimpse of the Bay of Fundy during his visit to Cape Spencer Lighthouse after braving a snowstorm on the way to New Brunswick.
City walks are also a favourite of ours, but even more so during the winter months. @Pinpicz shows us how romantic a stroll through Saint John can be during the snowy season.
@Sjxposed captured a still and beautiful snowy day in an otherwise bustling city of Saint John.
Our passengers captured some great moments during the winter season across the Maritimes, and it’s easy to see why. After all, the Maritimes is full of special spots to share snowy moments with friends and family. As you can see, @land.of.the.sea.wolf captured a fun moment hanging around (literally!) on a winter camping adventure.
And how about this serene snowy scene that @bruce.stewart.ca shared with us?
What a memorable winter season it’s been here in the Maritimes. As you can see from these photos, it was full of gorgeous views of the great outdoors and the city. Oh, and our ferry looked pretty great too! Join us on the water this spring aboard MV Fundy Rose, The CAT, and Northumberland Ferries as you set out for a season filled with Maritime adventures — and be sure to tag us (@nflbayferries, @thecatferry) in your photos so that we may share in your experiences.
