Safety Measures

Bay Ferries has adopted safety measures to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and provide a safe ferry voyage between Bar Harbor, Maine and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.

Face Masks

Face masks are recommended but not mandatory in all indoor public spaces on board the vessel and at terminals.

Practice Good Personal Hygiene

During the voyage, please follow proper hand washing procedures and use the supplied hand sanitizer when needed.

Cleaning and Sanitization

Cleaning and sanitization practices have been heightened during and between voyages. Enhanced sanitation practices are followed in line with the recommended public health guidelines and sanitation best practices.

In an effort to provide our passengers and crew the cleanest air possible, The CAT has been fitted with an ultraviolet air filtration system.

Face Masks

Cabin Ventilation System

In terms of overall air quality, an additional layer or enhanced protection for our passengers and crew, The CAT’s cabin ventilation system has been upgraded with the Fresh-Aire UV light system as well as utilization of the highest MERV rated filters to deliver the utmost effectiveness in air filtration.
